About
Hi! My name is Elaine, and I’m currently a junior in high school.
Ever since I was young, drawing has always been one of my hobbies. But during quarantine, I started taking it more seriously. Every day after school, I would sit in the same spot for hours with my pencils strewn out around me as I carefully worked in my sketchbook. I didn’t have a teacher, so I spent much of my time online watching art tutorials to learn new tricks and techniques. Colored pencils were my first weapon of choice, but I started branching into other mediums as I improved. I also started posting my drawings and my own tutorials on various social media platforms (links below to my accounts!!). Additionally, from managing my accounts, I learned a great deal from other artists and communicating with art brands. Around this time, I also started taking art and design classes. Eventually, I broke away from mere realism and began to put more of myself in my art. I used the skills I’d learned to communicate my thoughts, my fears, and my dreams in a language anyone could understand. Now, art has become much more than a hobby for me. It’s a huge part of my life and who I am.
I post my art (and more) to inspire you to create. I’d say art changed my life and I hope it does yours too.
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy exploring my website!
